About

I spent nine years at the World Resources Institute, one of the world's leading environmental policy institutions, going from intern to Director of Strategy and Impact at WRI Brasil. The job, in one line: turning research into decisions. I designed the theories of change, strategies, and results systems that connected climate science to national policy in nine countries — from the outcome assessment of Brazil's national vegetation restoration plan to WRI Brasil's COP30 strategy, including bilateral China–Brazil convening ahead of the Tropical Forest Forever Facility launch.

Along the way I co-founded and exited Drexfy, an impact fintech in Lisbon that worked with Portuguese regulators — CMVM and the Bank of Portugal — to channel over $10 million in European investment to sustainable projects in Brazil. I hold an MSc in Engineering and Policy Analysis from TU Delft (cum laude) and an industrial engineering degree from UFRGS. Brazilian and Italian, based in São Paulo, eight languages.

In 2026 I turned to AI governance. Climate taught me that good research does not change the world unless it is translated into strategies, coalitions, institutions, and decisions — and power over advanced AI is concentrating faster than institutions are adapting. I'm interested in how countries outside the frontier keep their agency: middle powers, multilateralism, and connecting AI safety to the national priorities people already care about. I'm co-founding Plures, a fieldbuilding initiative for exactly that, and writing about it all at Where AI Lands.

I'm open to collaborations, advisory work, and consulting: strategy and theory of change, results and learning systems, fundraising cases, and getting governance ideas adopted by the institutions that matter. If that overlaps with what you're building, email me.
